It seems a long time since Callum Highway was given his own storyline, but thankfully that's about to change.
Upcoming scenes will see the young officer offered the chance to become a Trainee Detective Constable.
Speaking of the upcoming storyline, Tony Clay who plays Callum said: "There's lots going on for Callum, in both professional and personal terms. He gets promoted to Trainee Detective Constable," he said.
"He's delighted. He's really happy. He feels like his hard work is paying off.
"So he goes into it wanting to keep his head down to do the job properly, and be the best detective he can be but there's going to be room for scandal as always."
One of his first tasks in his new job is to go through all the video footage of Ravi as part of an ongoing investigation.
"Within days of him being there, there's already stuff that he's quite heavily involved in with Ravi and Jack, so there's all sorts going on," Tony teased.
"Something is brought to his attention that might cause a rift between him and his friend Jack, but you'll have to wait and see what happens."
What is Callum about to discover about Ravi?
EastEnders air these scenes next week.
